On the 4th of August, the FDA announced that it has cleared the investigational new drug (IND) application for ANA001 (Niclosamide Capsules) as a potential treatment for COVID-19, making it the first U.S.-based company to conduct a human clinical trial to determine the efficacy of Niclosamide to treat COVID-19.
